Definition from the 14th of February 1986 Decree Article 1 – II a :
“The tourist residence is a listed commercial establishment for accommodation, being the subject of permanent or seasonal operation. It consists of a homogeneous set of furnished rooms or apartments laid out in collective or distinct units, offered for letting for occupation by the day, week or month to tourist clientele not resident there. It is provided with at least a minimum of equipment and services. It is managed in all cases by only one person or entity. The lease contract signed between the owner and the management company has to run for at least 9 years”.
